Community Pride Building programs inspire people to be proud of Gaston County. To build pride, they celebrate local leaders and teach students about the county.
Community Leadership Awards
This is an annual event designed to recognize and celebrate effective, unique leadership in Gaston County.
Proudest Kid in Gaston County Essay Contest
Each year, third grade students write essays about their community and one is chosen to be "Proudest Kid in Gaston County."
Pride in Gaston Traveling Tour
The tour teaches students about sites in Gaston County that are sources of community pride. The tour is a companion to the Essay Contest.
