Emerging Leader Award Nomination Form

Gaston Together is excited to announce our updated Community Leadership Awards. In addition to the Community Leadership Award, we will also have an Emerging Leader Award. This youth award will be awarded to Gaston County high schoolers (grades 9 - 12) who demonstrate leadership in the community.

Gaston Together Emerging Leader Award Selection Criteria

  • The nominee must be a high school student in Gaston County (grades 9 - 12) 

  • The nominee should demonstrate: Initiative, Service, Leadership, and be a Role Model.

Nomination Instructions

  • Nominations must be received by 5:00 PM on October 15, 2025

  • The nomination must include a bio with specific accomplishment(s) cited

  • Please be thorough – incomplete nominations will not be accepted

  • The selection Committee will review all nominations to ensure they meet the award criteria

  • Please note that only the nominee(s) selected to receive the award will be notified of their nomination
